This is a group dedicated for the discussion of Ancient Indian Astrology - Including Vedic, Non-Vedic, Tantric, Yevana & Jaina streams of thoughts that were prevalent in Indian astrology. Discussing of both the Rasi (Sign) based system and stellar astrology is encouraged. Scholarly discussion of ancient astrology quoting authentic references, providing new logical insights about the ancient system would be appreciated. A search into the theoretical, holistic & scientific foundation of ancient Indian astrology by exploring the -
1) the ancient astrological predictive systems
2) the supporting evidence provided by the ancient festivals and practices
3) the supporting evidence provided by history & astronomy
etc would be highly appreciated. Both the theoretical and practical approach on revealing the many facets of Ancient Indian Astrology - thus helping the revival of stream of knowledge provided to the posterity by the great seers, is expected to happen. Let us hope that the efforts in this group will help in restructuring and reorganizing the vast knowledge related to ancient Indian astrology (which is currently in a unorganized and demolished state) and thus making it well structured, logical, and authentic. Such efforts make it easy and simple for the seekers of astrological wisdom to understand and utilize the ancient Indian astrological systems for the benefit of all. We share our regards and love to all who appreciate and supports this aim/effort with their valuable knowledge input.
